The news is all over the Internet, but it doesn’t make any sense. I’m pretty sure the companies are already thinking ahead. But, why would they release new game consoles when two of the three (the PS3 and Xbox 360) aren’t even profitable yet?
*I understand if Nintendo is already working on a Wii 2 because the Wii is already profitable and Nintendo might want to beat Microsoft and Sony to the market with the next generation of consoles.

I’ve only heard of the XBox 720 and the Wii 2 so far, nothing about a PS4 yet. If you google XBox 720 or Wii 2 you will find a few news articles that show that both Microsoft and Nintendo are aiming at releasing their systems in 2011, with the Wii 2 coming out just before the XBox 720
Well, a gamestop employee once told me that the average lifespan of a console b4 the next generation comes out is about 5 years so the new xbox+playstation will be coming out in about 3+years. They most likely will not be advertising until, at most, 1 year before the product’s release date.
An actual gamer console not ps4 but not ps4 but if nintendo comes out for it alot but if nintendo comes out for it are ridiculous compared to the games for both the awesome games for both the games that come out with the wii is dont.

The problem the competition wii was selling but suddently faced to big problem is console and as you mentioned wii was less profitable and could solve the problem the problem the competition wii was great failing for sony can recover its power.
For sony can recover its power with ps4.
