Yea i know its 2009 and I still dont have either one lol. I been in college so pretty busy but now that I got a summer job i got a little spending money that I want to spend on either a XBOX 360 OR PS3. I have read many articles about this and all of them pretty say it depends no what you like and your situation so here is what i like and my situation. I would like to hear any and all opinions. Thanks.
1. I DON’T care about the Blue-ray player at ALL i dont watch too many movies if any.
2. For the past year i have been playing my roommate’s xbox 360 for a whole year, thus i played HALO 3 and gears of wars 2 numerous times and beat both games that i dont want to play them anymore. I DO NOT care about these so called “exclusive games mentioned above on the xbox 360 that are so popular.
3. I know its late and its 2009 and these systems have been out a couple of years now. I also have heard rumors on the web (true or not) that Microsoft will be realeasing a new xbox (xbox 720 or somethin..) in the near future like in 2010 or 2011. I do not want to waste money on a xbox 360 if it will just be usless in 1-2 years.
4. I like online gaming. I DO NOT care about paying for xbox live its not that much (50/yr). However, most of my friends have a xbox 360 and play call of duty 4 or 5 and I would like to play with them. However, if i dont its not the end of the world. Its just a plus.
5. I DO NOT care about paying more for ps3 upfront. 100 dollars is not a big deal in the long run.

I am leaning more towards xbox 360 just because so many of my friends have it and play it. I really want to play the new cod4 modern warefare 2 when it comes out w/ my friends.
However the thing holding me back is the fact that a new xbox might come out soon. Does anyone know anything about the new xbox 720?? and when its supposed to come out etc…
Also I know that sony said they will back up ps3 for a minumium of 10 yrs so that they probably wont come out with a new playstation system anytime soon, however, microsoft might come out with a new xbox soon. thats what im worried about.

The new xbox (720 i think) will be comming out soon. I was wanting to know if anybody knew if you get your old xbox 360 account onto the 720 (probably via xbox live) will still have all your gamerscore from the 360 ? Theres not much point working for all this gamerscore if your a gamerscore ***** and then are back to the start when you get the 720.

If I get a 1 month membership ( 720 Hours ) Lets just say I play 1 hour (719 Hours ) and turn off my xbox 360 will it still be the same. Is there like a time limit on top of the dashboard and says 719 Hours ?

hi, im just now getting into the whole xbox live experince. i bought some new games and a wireless adapter and everything.
but the thing i **** most with video games is they always come out with a new system that is very expensive and makes your current console obsolete.
so, my question is, when is microsoft supposedly going to release their next-next-gen console?

I am thinking of getting one for Christmas but the red lights scare me from buying it. Will the xbox 360 live for at least 2 years. Or will it just die. What is the failure rate because i heard that it is around 10% but that was about 1-2 months ago.

The XBOX 360 is adapting so much it’s hard to keep up with it at times. But what would it be like if there was an XBOX 720 with a new tool called XBOX digital live where it could make everything now seem old. Microsoft is coming out with variety of stuff every year but what if 2 years from now is different?
